VSA Montana and the Montana Arts Council Present:

Using Art in Education for Students on the Autism Spectrum

This unique training opportunity explores ways that the arts can be used to improve the educational experience of students on the Autism Spectrum. These sessions will include discussions of:

  • Standard characteristics of students on the Autism Spectrum;
  • Strategies to engage students on the Autism Spectrum in the educational experience;
  • Visual arts activities designed to develop communication skills, increase social interactions and support the creative participation of children on the Autism Spectrum.

Registration is free and OPI Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are available. Lunch will be served on the Saturday of each session.
